Canine Freestyle

What is canine freestyle?

Verne Foster, Freestyle instructor, and her dog TuggerCanine Freestyle is a choreographed performance with music, demonstrating the close bond between dog and handler. Graceful and intricate maneuvers are performed with precision and artistry and are achieved through the subtle use of verbal cues and body language.

In Freestyle the performance of every team is different, accompanied by different music and demonstrating the individual strengths and talents of each dog.

Freestyle is also an excellent discipline to illustrate the conformation and movement of the dog. The reach, drive and
beauty of an athletic, trained dog moving to music can take one’s breath away.

At Mountain View we offer beginner freestyle classes two or three times a year and advanced classes occasionally. Write us if you are interested!
