MEMORIAL DAY GAMES AND PICNIC
Monday, May 26, 2008 10AM-?

Frenzy - never to be forgottenTHREE GAMES AND FOOD: We're planning a gala Memorial Day celebration with three agility games and a community-shared food event (that means we'd like you to bring a "covered dish" to share).

We're planning to do mainstream USDAA games: Gamblers, Snooker and Pairs Relay. All games will have both a Starters (Novice) and Advanced (Advanced/Masters) option. Never played these games before? That's OK - we'll explain them thoroughly and allow you to complete the game, even if you have been disqualified. Snooker is a game that can be *very* quick - you can goof as early as the second obstacle and be sent out of the ring - but we'll let you play out your plan!

Our intention is to have fun - which as you probably recall is what your plan was when you started doing agility with your dog. Our "doors are open" to all agility fanatics, not just our own students. We want to share this holiday with our friends - students, non-students, and those not yet met.

And just to be sports, we'll set up the ever-popular NADAC Tunnelers course for you to play with on your own time.

UKC Runs! Also (TA-DA!) We will be having UKC AG-II runs - "Two-fer" $7. They will run concurrently with the other games.

All dogs should be familiar with and comfortable on all standard equipment.

The schedule: We plan to play games starting at 10 AM. Our friends from Puppy Pals will be organizing the food, so you may eat whenever you have the inclination (starting around noon), and we'll just continue to play. Just save Averill some lunch! We can go all day, weather and energy permitting.

What to bring: Bring your agility dogs. Bring your family (we all need a cheering squad - and helpers) and dog-friendly friends. Bring shade. We have plenty of water, and there will be pools for the dogs. And bring food for humans to share!

As always at Mountain View, we allow any positive training methods on our courses. No corrections are permitted. If your *dog* makes a mistake, we'll provide the mirror for the handler to see where the mistake originated. .

Pre-registration is required.

Cost: $10 includes all games, plus $7 for two UKC AG-II runs.

50% of the proceeds will go to the Puppy Pals 4H group.
