Obedience Training at Mountain View

Class info:

Is obedience training your dog fun? You bet! At least it should be. All dogs need some training to help them be better companions and to further the bond between them and their humans. And with the recent emergence of scientifically based behavioral concepts from the laboratory (also from skilled wild animal and marine trainers--and more recently from many successful dog trainers), it's easy to teach our dogs to behave as we want them to without having to apply force. Suddenly training our dogs to be obedient IS wonderfully fun!

In obedience classes at Mountain View, the human half of the team is taught how to shape desirable behaviors in their canine companions. All the "usual" dog obedience exercises (sit, down, stay, come, walking politely at one's side) as well as tricks and problem solving are addressed in our classes in a positive and enjoyable atmosphere. Both dogs and owners are eager to return for the next week's class!

We believe in positive reinforcement and in the use of the clicker to teach dogs new behaviors! We hope to make believers of you too.
